After setting up the casting area with Terry Willison, I asked the lads if I could have the day off scoring and have a go casting with the group of veterans. "No worries" - AJ and Alphonse jumped in and looked after the scoring so I send a big "thank you" to both of them. Nick and Keith gave Willo a hand.

For some reason, I didn't hear any laughter or shenanigans going on in the Seniors this month. I can only guess that the distance casting by Nick, George, Joe and Darren had the boys concentrating. Or was it the bullseyes by Nick in both the double handed accuracy AND the single handed accuracy that had them dumbstruck? I know I was struggling to keep up with a few of the veterans who had their eyes in and were peppering the targets.

Congratulations to the winners Nick (112 gram), Joe (56 gram), Roy (double handed accuracy), George (single handed accuracy) and Tony for taking out top spot for the day. Congratulations also to young Rhys Jones.

It was great to have Don Batchelor join us for the day although he's not ready to start casting yet. Don's rejuvenating a wonky shoulder but came along to study styles and techniques so that he can offer guidance for others to improve.
