Surf Casting and Angling Club of W.A. (Inc.) 2007 - 2008 Fishing Field Day Dates and Venues.

The following fishing field venues and dates for the club's 2007/2008 competition year were decided by members at the April 2007 General Meeting.

Field Days for 2007/2008.

Boundaries include anywhere in Tidal Waters where everyone is allowed to fish. To be fair to everyone, any fishing spot which other people aren't allowed to fish, for example which need access through locked gates on private property, company jetties where only people who know someone in the company are allowed to fish, aren't eligible.

The boundaries exclude impoundments, dams, artificial lakes, etc and freshwater lakes, rivers and streams. That's because the club is a saltwater fishing club.

Local field days.

Local field days are included for people who can't get away to the venue listed above. Local field days are run every month, except when the main venue is an "Open", which means anywhere in WA Tidal Waters where everyone is allowed to fish.

Local boundaries are from Penguin Island to Two Rocks, including the Swan River, so includes both the North and South Moles at Fremantle and all the top surf, beach, river, reef, jetty, rock and rock wall fishing spots in the metropolitan area.

Some members make up a group of members and friends and go fishing locally for a few hours when they can get away between the fishing start time on Saturday and the weigh in time on the Sunday or the Monday for a long weekend fishing field day.

This is a great way to be involved even when you can't spare all the time for a trip away. There have been some great fish caught by people who have had only a few hours to spare from the other things they have to fit into their lives.
